Current Events

Starting Lap Time

Final Moments

The final countdown is on.

Racer Positions

An advantage in Max Verstappen's advantage: his fellow driver Tsunoda is ahead of him by one place. He is unlikely to mess with the team's lead driver.

Interview Updates

Sky interviewing Sky currently: the analyst is at the Mercedes team.

The analyst is jumping ahead to the 2026 season, speaking with the engineer about his promotion to Aston Martin lead role.

Starting Positions

Just 16 cars on the grid. It was another poor grid-setting session for the driver: following his result of 20th and last in Las Vegas, leading to an eighth-place finish in the main race, he failed to advance of Q1 once more on the previous day. The team have consequently adjusted to his car configuration and so he will start from the starting area.

The team's Lance Stroll and the Alpine pair of Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto are all doing likewise.

Driver Comments

"We take the learning for tomorrow," says Isack Hadjar, 11th on the grid. There will be plenty of learning.

Team Standings

It's not all about the drivers' title: McLaren have run away with the constructors' gong but Mercedes, with a forty-point advantage over Red Bull, are aiming to secure the runner-up position this weekend. George Russell can help them achieve that from second place, and Antonelli will begin immediately after Verstappen.

Previous Results

Oscar Piastri won that day – as he managed the previous season, too. McLaren's Australian is attempting a hat-trick.

Sprint Race Value

Alright, just over 20 minutes remaining till the short race gets under way. Unless something goes wrong, its main importance is as a preview of future events, instead of highly important in its own right, with just eight championship points available to the victor. However, second place in this race was enough for the driver to claim the title in a prior season.

Max Verstappen claimed the championship after Pérez crashes out of the short race.
